Oh Lather Soap Works of Columbus offering his hand crafted all vegetable oil soaps. They use base oils of palm, olive and coconut in the production of their soaps. He also offers skin creams and shaving soaps.

Golden Life Dog Food of Powell with their frozen gourmet dog food meals & treats.

The Batch Bakery from Columbus a natural/organic bakery selling cupcakes, cookies and special deserts.

Carousel Watergardens Farm from Marion, Ohio will offer organic free range antibiotic and hormone free frozen ground turkey, drums, turkey brats, sausage. Also try their wonderful chicken whole, cut up, brats, sausage patties, ground, breast, and wings, pork sausage, pork chops, and pork shoulder roasts. Be sure to try their tomato basil, sweet Italian or chorizo chicken brats or patties. They will have their produce such as cabbage, sweet potatoes, garlic, radishes, red potatoes, onions, broccoli, spring mix, limited sweet & hot peppers and tomatoes and lots of farm fresh brown eggs. It’s that time of year…the close of the winter farmer’s market season, so join us this Saturday March 19, 2011 from 10 am -1 pm for the last Columbus Winter Farmers’ Market of the season. Our market is held at the Clintonville Woman’s Club at 3951 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214.

In Memory Jan Staats Olde Worthington Farmers Market

Worthington has lost a visionary a wonderful lady who has been an inspiration to many of us in the farmers’ market circle. We are sadden to hear Mrs. Jan Staats market master with the Olde Worthington Farmers Market, has passed away Sunday January 16, 2011.

Jan always met challenges head on with a zest for life she will be missed by all who knew her. She built a legacy to live on with the Olde Worthington Farmers Market for all to enjoy. I’m sure Jan wasn’t finished here on earth, she wasn’t ready to leave her family, her community her life but rest assured God must have needed a visionary, a superb manager, a tireless angel to assist him for the grand farmers market that is about to commence in heaven.

Thank you Jan for setting the standard we will all be forever grateful.

This Saturday November 14^th from 10 am -1 pm the Columbus Winter Farmers’ Market starts the 2009 -2010 winter season. The market is held at The First UU Church, Fellowship Hall at 93 West Weisheimer Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43214

Please join us this Saturday and stock up on the great fresh offerings from our farmers and producers.

Our entertainment will be provided by the “Two Friends.” Local piano teacher Sue Ellen Beachler accompanied by Cory Poulton (Whetstone Sr.) performing a variety of styles in solo and duets.

The Columbus Winter Farmers Market has 4 pre Christmas markets coming November 14 & 21, December 5 & 12. We will also have 8 markets January –April. That’s a total of 12 great markets for you.

We are delighted to be joined by the following great producers this Saturday:

Osage Lane Creamery of Pataskala will have their goat’s milk feta cheese, fudge & cheese balls.

Brezel of Clintonville with their wonderful hand rolled Bavarian pretzels.

Carousel Watergardens Farm from Marion, Ohio will offer cabbage, sweet potatoes, garlic, radishes, red potatoes, onions, farm fresh brown eggs. They also offer a Thanksgiving Turkey CSA with fruit & vegetables or just the turkey. Deadline to order a Thanksgiving Turkey is November 15, 2009.

Sue’s Kitchen of Pataskala; Sue will be back with her heartwarming smile and her delicious pies, scones, dessert breads, biker bars, cinnamon rolls, snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookie stacks.

Honey Health Farms from Marysville 3 Generations of Bee Keepers! Providers of local raw honey, blended honey, bee pollen, home-made soaps, lip & body balm and moisture cream.

Rausch Enterprises of Marysville with his grass & grain fed beef. Stock up on those great steaks, hamburger patties and other fine cuts.

Luna Burgers from Clintonville is back with us. Be sure to try their veggie burgers made from local Ohio grown produce.

Ochs Fruit Farm from Lancaster with his wonderful apples and apple cider.

Lucky Cat Farm from Pataskala with their delicious artisan breads.
