I did not hear about this sad news until I found out this morning that the new Market Master (Michele Mooney) who replaced Jan has decided to enact many changes for the wonderful Farmers Market – including eliminating numerous long term “cottage business” that produced anything from salsa to cookies to cram the market with even more vegetable vendors. God bless Jan for creating such a wonderful market, I hope we’ll be able to save it from Ms Mooney’s hands…

What a nice write up you have done for Jan Staats with OWFM. It is nice to see another farmers market step up and acknowledge her in such a nice way. I just love the Columbus Winter Farmers Market everyone is so nice and such wonderful and great goodies at the market. I like that you stick to the “by farmers for farmers” philosophy. Finally a market that stands behind what they say! Keep up the great work.
